Introduction In contemporary higher education and research culture, publication is no longer understood only as the final step of a scholarly project. It is also part of a larger system of visibility, validation, dissemination, and academic positioning. When a work appears in a source that is discoverable through a major abstract and citation database, the publication gains a particular kind of institutional and symbolic relevance.
